Celebrating International Women’s Day Throughout March at PayFuture
Written by Roxanna Bashir, Chief People and Culture Officer
Our Chief People and Culture Officer, Roxanna Bashir, shares her experience meeting our team in the Philippines.
Our hearts are brimming with joy as we celebrate our last but not least International Women’s Day with our incredible team in the Philippines.
Reflecting on our journey of support and empowerment, our visit to the Philippines last July was a pivotal moment where we had the privilege of meeting our dedicated team in person for the first time. This visit provided us with a profound opportunity to connect on a deeper level, gaining insights into the unique challenges and aspirations of our team members. It was a transformative experience that left an indelible mark on all of us.
During our visit, one of the most significant realisations was the recognition that many of our female team members were single mothers, gracefully balancing the demands of work and family with unwavering grace and resilience. While our initial plan was to establish a central office in Manila, it became abundantly clear that the most effective way to support our team was to embrace remote work. This decision enabled them to prioritise their families without compromising their performance at PayFuture.
As we celebrate International Women’s Day this month, we wholeheartedly honour the strength, determination, and dedication of our female team members in the Philippines and around the world. Their steadfast commitment serves as a constant source of inspiration, and we take immense pride in standing alongside them as allies and advocates for equality and empowerment.
At PayFuture, we are dedicated to fostering a work environment where every individual feels valued, respected, and supported to achieve their fullest potential. Moving forward, let us reaffirm our commitment to uplifting and empowering women in all aspects of life, both within our company and beyond. Together, we can forge a future where every woman’s dreams are not just attainable but celebrated.
For me personally from the moment I said yes to this whirlwind journey with PayFuture, my role has extended far beyond the scope of Chief People and Culture Officer, I’ve been propelled far beyond the confines of my initial expectations and perceived limitations. Joining this dynamic, fast-paced, and relentlessly successful company in its infancy, I embarked on an adventure that has been nothing short of a thrilling rollercoaster ride.
From the exhilarating surge of our team’s growth to the heart-pounding impact of our strategic decisions, each moment has been a wild testament to the resilience and fortitude that define us. Amidst the chaos of meetings, deadlines, and breakthroughs, I discovered an untapped wellspring of resilience within myself.
As I say farewell to this month of celebrating International Women’s Day, I cannot help but feel an overwhelming sense of gratitude for the whirlwind of experiences that have shaped me. PayFuture isn’t just a company; it’s a vibrant mosaic of inclusivity, diversity, and boundless opportunity. And for that, I am endlessly thankful.
